Family

Good afternoon friends,
Here I am with my newest layout, it is an anniversary gift for my parents. As you all would be knowing by now most of my creations are for my mom and I hope she likes this one too :)

I have not bothered getting this one framed as its created on a framed canvas and I have finished it with a ModPodge layer (it actually works like magic) makes it sturdy, clear , glossy and most importantly cleanable .

Experimented with my new Dimensional Magic from Modpodge. Punched the alphas, created the quote and added some magic :)

The brown flower is made using cherry blossom punch by Punchbunch. The yellow ones using daisy punch from Carl and the flourishes from Sizzix die cuts .

The tiny red blossoms are made using snowflakes punch from Martha Stewart.

The alphas are hand cut with the help of Fiskars finger cutter and added magic with dimensional magic from Modpodge.

Last but not the least my all time favourite banners..

Birthday blast !!

Hello people,
It has been a busy busy week and I could hardly get any time for my creative itch. Thankfully the weekend arrived and I got time to complete the card I wish to showcase on Itsybitsy
and http://craftyourpassionchallenges.blogspot.in/?m=1,,
PCJ http://paper-craftingjourney.blogspot.in

Wanted to use a lighter background as I have planned to use bright embellishments.

I have never used a Crafters workshop templet before, I distressed through the templet and this is what it looks like.

Used some ribbons and washi tapes.

Now comes my favourite part-Banners, I so love them :)

Once the banners were finished with different embellishments I used Modpodge Dimensional Magic to give them an embossed look.

Ta-Daaa !!

Materials used:
Card stock, patterned papers and embellishments from Itsybitsy,
Templet from Crafters workshop, Distress ink,
Washi tapes, ribbons and coloured paper clips.

I heart you :)

Good evening people,
Posting the card I made for my husband this Valentines day.
Wanted to keep it white and simple, for  he likes it that way :)

I tried filling the bag with the punched hearts and tape it in the window but the hearts kept falling at the bottom and dint give the look so stuck them on one side of the zip lock bag I have used to fill them.
I have embossed the bottom portion.

Spring time

Hi friends,
Here I am, sharing this page layout project I had created for my better half for Valentines day.
I have always enjoyed the art of scrapbooking as each page layout has a story to tell. While creating a new page layout project I like to follow a particular theme.

Here I have tried and used embellishments that have always been a part of the two of us.
From butterflies to roses, lovebirds, teddies, angels, dreams, the red check fabric, paperclips with hearts, smile, and all the other things i have used in this particular layout have many memories behind them.

Hand crafted rose using rose petal punch.
This beautiful rose was made using rose petal punch , embossing and assembling each petal in different size.I have used a regular photo copy paper to make it :)

Love for felt.

The green birdy is made using felt but the pink one is made using a simple dotted cotton fabric. The house embellishment is made using an off-white felt.
And not to forget the Red Check fabric has a very important part in our lives :)

Love the teddies.
The teddies are punched out using Martha Stewart punch+emboss punch.

:)
This is a newspaper cutout talking about the Nikon camera I so wanted to buy and I had saved the article to lure my husband into me buying it.

As i had earlier mentioned, everything about this page has millions of memories to relive....

Celebrating Womanhood !!

Cheers to all the lovely and beautiful ladies out there on account of Women's Day!!
A Women is an epitome of tenderness, love, care and wisdom. And a women is not complete until she attains motherhood.
MOTHER is likely one of those few words whose very cite inspires a fountain of emotions in the heart of almost every person. As very well said by a wise man- "The mother's lap is the first school for every child". It is his first temple; mother is his foremost god.
And on this special day i would like my mom to know how much she means to me and how she has helped me grow and be what I am, I want to thank her for  the nanoest things she has done for me.

This is the Jewellery Box I have made to gift  my mother to celebrate her Womanhood.

Summer Fun!!

Hi all,
Its summer and time for the annual summer camp i conduct for kids.
Posting some pics from the last years camp.
Little artists at work

Dry flower art
Dry flower wall hangings
Mess is good :)
Wheat grass dummies
Ice cream spoon flutters
Paper plate craft
Animas from simple Circles
Chalkboard art
Handmade boxes with quilling on it
Paper cup turtles
Door Hangers
Stainglass suncatchers
Paperplate clutches

A 3D Quilled Jewellery box!!

The best and the worst thing about this project is that it does not require anything besides hand cut strips of tinted papers, glue, quilling tool, scissors and A LOT OF PATIENCE!!
The base.

The BEST thing being~That great feeling when u dont have to spend a lot to make something worth a lot.The minute you decide to make it,the only thing you need to do is open your storage, pull out some papers and start.
Box without the lid.
The WORST thing being~It gets too difficult when you dont have anything stiff to mount your quilled rolls and shapes on something stiff. Not just that you have to hold 2 rolls together till it semi dries and i would not recommend using quick drying glue as at places you need to change the shape or replace the roll when it does not fit in that particular circle.

Box with the lid.
The Dimensions: 8" broad and 5" tall aprox.
Materials : Blue, Green and Lavender tinted papers,
                 Quilling tool,
                 Glue and scissors.

Quill to Thrill !!

I have always been biased towards Quilling.I love to transform simple hand cut strips into something so beautiful.
Orchids and Chrysanthemum
The Chrysanthemum and Orchids were created from the regular tinted craft papers..

Roses
The Roses are made using the super simple circular quilling technique..

Violets
Making the leaves was a real task here..

Lily of the Valley

The lilies can be a great filler between main flowers and the leaves can be framed according to the desired size.
Butterfly
This Beauty takes a lot of patience and gets real tricky. All the four wings are made separately and attached to the body in the end.
Outcome :)
